The solar eclipse on Thursday is also a new moon in Gemini and a Mercury cazimi transit (when Mercury appears to pass in front of the sun) making it a major astrological event. The energy will most likely affect communication and transportation, making it unpredictable or surprising in some way until the energy has been grounded afterwards.
Eclipses put us in the dark figuratively or literally, leaving us unsure or anxious until the Sun reemerges and what was hidden becomes visible. Apply this to your life, is there an area you are feeling anxious or unsure recently? Do you know where Gemini is in your natal chart? Chances are these will coincide. Answers or solutions will hopefully be reveled after the eclipse passes. It is important to note that eclipse energy is often in play for up to 6 months after so chances are you won’t have a eureka moment before noon tomorrow but more likely when you look back, you’ll see that something shifted around this time.
With the eclipse in Gemini and with Mercury passing through the eclipse point in retrograde immediately after the eclipse we should find that the solution or information we needed was something we already knew, an insight we were aware of but did not give credit to until now, maybe a reconsideration. We should use this opportunity to let go ways of thinking and communicating that are outdated, no longer functional or allowing us to reach our full potential. We may see some ideas that are fantasy or based on an illusion and we need to beware not falling for false information at this time because of the square from this eclipse to Neptune.
The best way to approach the next few days is to expect the unexpected, let go of thoughts and notions that are not serving your highest good, and really examine news and information for its veracity. Try to put off any major decisions until next week if possible and beware of miscommunications. If traveling leave extra time to get where you are going and have back up plans. If you have a chance to watch the eclipse take it, even if it is online since this is still a pretty rare event to witness.
