Today is the equinox as the Sun slips into Libra at 3:21 pm ET, we try to find our own balance. In the northern hemisphere we start Autumn, and in the southern hemisphere Spring arrives, thus it’s a time to initiate or begin something since Libra is a cardinal sign and calls us to start fresh. As an air sign Libra gives us time to think and often consider our options, weigh the consequences, plan and work with others.
Libra rules the seventh House and is ruled by Venus thus relating and partnerships are a focus at this time of year. Now is a time to seek compromise, to negotiate, time to work out differences and find common ground. This is a good time for legal matters although with Mercury going retrograde in Libra in a few days these procedures could take a lot longer than expected.
Libra is about beauty and symmetry, find the aesthetics that soothe you and find the balance in your day to day life now. Things to beware of are indecisiveness because you want to explore all the options or being overly judgmental if you feel you know what is best. Libra can be very honest and forthright but sometimes that comes across as blunt and cruel. Think before you speak.
The Sun is in Libra until October 23 when he leaves this airy sign of cooperation for the deep emotional depths of Scorpio.
