Venus Retrograde in Capricorn

December 19^th until January 29^th

It’s time to reassess our finances, our values, our self-worth, and our relationships as Venus goes retrograde for the next 40 days. Venus in Capricorn is about quality and long lasting, whether it’s our relationships or our possessions, it will stand the test of time. While Venus is travelling backwards, we should become introspective and ask where these adjectives apply in our lives.

There is an intensity to the transactions and interactions occurring right now, not only because of the retrograde but because of Venus and Pluto being so close, just a degree apart, that gives this time a fated feeling. While this can be incredibly transformative for some, it can also be dangerous. Be wary of becoming obsessive or overly focused on any one thing or person. Also watch out for using authority or power to manipulate others. Both of these can occur with the Venus Pluto conjunction, especially in an authoritative sign like Capricorn.

Purging your possessions and possibly your social media sites may be cathartic now. Review your financial plans, check over where money is flowing – both in and out. Check in with your partners and consider if you have a shared outlook for the relationship. By January 29^th you may be ready to make new starts or renew commitments.
