This is the time of year to take stock, plan for the year ahead, and spend some time deciding what is moving us towards our goals and what is not. On the 21st of December the sun moves into Capricorn, it is the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere, the longest night and shortest day of the year. Capricorn is a cardinal sign, an energy of earth and beginnings. This is the point where the days begin to grow longer and we become hopeful of the possibilities that lie before us in the new cycle of growth.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and is a sign connected with restrictions, rules, and structure. As an earth sign, Capricorn governs resources and how we control them. Now is a great time to review your finances especially with Venus retrograde, just leave any big decisions for after Venus goes direct, but definitely look into options and reconcile the figures. Organize your plans for 2022, make a spreadsheet, gather what you will need and lay the foundation.
Be careful not to become to rigid or inflexible in your plans. Capricorn can get spooked when something unexpected happens and with Saturn square Uranus still looming that is very possible. Sometimes it is good to try something new, even if it hasn’t been thoroughly researched first.
The sun moves into Capricorn on December 21st at 10:59 am EST and will be there until January 19th.
