How do you expect the unexpected? How can anyone prepare for the unpredictable? That is the standard advice for Uranus transits, but not always very helpful. Today Uranus will shift direction yet again to move forward along the path he has traveled twice already between 10’40” and 14’47” Taurus where he shifted into reverse on August 19, 2021.
Uranus is about swift change which can sometimes be scary. While retrograde this is often an internal process, where we uncover or peel back layers to reveal our true selves. When the planet is in forward motion the change is often from an external source pushing us to redirect. The more we resist this evolution, the more difficult the changes become. If you feel like there is a place in your life where something has got to give, that’s where Uranus may strike. Look for the chance opportunities too and don’t be afraid to take them if they feel right. Taurus is a sign about values, money, security, and possessions and these are likely to be instruments of Uranus as well as the Earth itself. The planet is undergoing dramatic change itself and this will become increasingly hard to ignore.
The Lunar Nodes are changing signs today as well, shifting from Gemini and Sagittarius to Taurus and Scorpio. These determine where the lunar and solar eclipses will occur, and in our birth chart they show the path we are meant to grow towards and the comfortable habits that can hold us back. Collectively, we are shifting from a focus on communication, social interaction and learning to looking at our need for security, financial and emotional, we will consider what we value and why, and what happens after these things are gone or we are gone.
Uranus will be direct at 10’ 47” Taurus from January 18, 2022, until turning retrograde on August 25, 2022, at 18’ 55’ Taurus. The North node will be in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio from January 18, 2022, until July 17, 2023.
