Sun in Aquarius

January 19 – February 18, 2022

The energy shift is like a breath of fresh air as the Sun breezes into Aquarius tonight at 9:39 pm. The sign of the water bearer is fixed air, almost a contradiction in terms because air seems to always be moving. The energy is a contradiction as well, often finding us spending time deep in thought, working through a lengthy problem but also experiencing flashes of inspiration, innovative ideas that change everything. It’s about being part of a community but still being fiercely independent. This is a sign ruled by both Saturn (traditional) and Uranus (modern). After the Saturn Uranus square of 2021 I think we can all sympathize with the Aquarians and that need for boundaries while still experiencing freedom.

Now is a great time to analyze the data, to make a hypothesis about the outcome, to participate in this great experiment called life. Aquarius is about the future and looking for ways to make it better for everyone. Don’t try to box an Aquarius in because they can’t be, they are a fixed sign that wants change – but on their own terms and in their own time. Now is a good time for you to make changes you have been thinking about. Don’t get too caught up in your own head, playing out every possible scenario before making a move. Remember to check in with your heart, Aquarius can sometimes box up emotion to be dealt with later but that doesn’t work well for most of us.

The Sun will be in Aquarius from January 19 through February 18. Mercury is here briefly before sliding back into Capricorn on January 25^th and returning to Aquarius again on February 14^th.
