Mars in Capricorn

January 24 – March 6, 2022

This is the time to get hands on with the goals you are moving towards. Mars entered Capricorn at 7:53 am on January 24^th and will remain in the sign of the sea-goat until March 6^th. Mars is exalted in Capricorn, meaning this is where he really shines. I picture Mars in Capricorn as a 5-star general, he is experienced and knows what needs to be done with the leadership and influence to make it all happen. I also think of Mars in Capricorn as the laborer, the stone mason, the carpenter, all those people that do the actual building work. Here in earthy Capricorn Mars isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and enjoys the feeling of physical exertion. The phrase “well begun is half done” comes to mind.

While Mars is here, spend time doing physical work if possible. Start a long-term project. Be a leader when applicable, set an example for others. Be careful of coming across as arrogant or a know it all. Remember leading is different from being bossy.

Mars will spend a lot of time with Venus while in Capricorn so you will be motivated in partnerships, especially romantic relationships. This is also a time to work actively on your financial plans. Mercury will move back into Capricorn tomorrow making this the prevailing energy in the sky with four planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto) so use it to set a solid foundation for the future.
