If there are changes you want to make in your daily routine, your health, or even the day-to-day tasks at your job, this is the full moon to work with. The full moon in Virgo is exact at 3:17 am EDT on March 18th and occurs at 27 Virgo 40’. This is a moon for transformations as the Sun in Pisces is sextile to Pluto and the Moon is trine to Pluto. Pluto is all about leaving behind or tearing down what isn’t working and building up better from what is left behind. The Pisces sun can be a bit dreamy and unfocused, great for creative thinking but fuzzy on the details. The Virgo moon is focused and task orientated but can lose sight of the big picture so as with any full moon we need to try and use helpful energies and be wary of the ones that aren’t.

We have a stack of planets behind the sun at 27’ Pisces, Neptune at 23’, Jupiter at 18’, and Mercury at 13’ which can frustrate the lonely Virgo moon. Try to keep on task and don’t let distractions get the better of you. There is the Mercury sextile to Uranus that brings in fresh ideas and Venus, Mars, and Saturn in logical Aquarius are squaring Uranus which can bring up some unexpected plot twists in the days that follow the full moon. To lean into this energy consciously try to switch up your routine or ditch old habits that are holding you back.

This moon is connected to the Virgo new moon on September 17, 2020, and the first quarter moon in Virgo on June 17, 2021. We will close out this cycle with the last quarter moon in Virgo on December 16, 2022. Think back to what thread runs through these dates for you if there is one. This will also affect those with planets at 27 – 28 degrees.
