The time for taking action is here as the Sun bursts into Aries on March 20th at 11:33 am. This is the vernal equinox, the start of the spring season in the northern hemisphere (autumn in the southern hemisphere) and a time of birth and beginnings. Aries is the sign of new life bursting forth, a cardinal sign of starting something new. Aries is ruled by Mars and is all about action, not always well thought out action but to quote Nike ads “just do it” type action. Aries is often brave and courageous, willing to jump into the fray and fight the good fight. Aries is the sprout that pokes through the ground putting all its energy into development and survival.

Now that the Sun is in Aries we have more drive, more passion, more fire in the sky. We have been in a hurricane of Water and Air energy recently, thought and emotion swirling around, with disruptors Uranus and Pluto in the Earth signs shaking things up, and lonely asteroid Chiron in Fire with only the moon occasionally sweeping though for support. Use the next few weeks to start a project, to move forward with plans, and initiate progress.

The Sun in Aries brings a faster pace to our daily life while in the sign of the ram until April 19th, when Taurus season commences, and we become a little more cautious. Mercury will join the Sun here in Aries on March 27th. The Sun is conjunct Chiron in Aries on April 1st, the same day as the Aries new moon, a wonderful time for healing and growth. What seeds will you plant now?
