Slow down and smell the roses now that Taurus season is here. As the Sun strolls into the sign of the bull we are more inclined to take our time and enjoy the pleasures of the moment. Taurus is sometimes called lazy, but it really is an incredibly hard-working sign that suffers from inertia – when a bull is in motion get out of its way because it is going to accomplish its goal and stomp whoever or whatever is in its way. On the other hand, when there is an opportunity to rest and relax Taurus is going to do just that until it’s time to get back to work again.

While the Sun is in Taurus take time to experience all of your senses. Eat delicious food, wear luxurious fabrics, look at the beauty of nature, listen to motivational music, and of course smell the flowers. Walk barefoot in the grass and dig your hands into the earth because this is a time to ground your energy. Figure out what makes you feel comfortable and safe.

While normally Taurus season can lead to getting stuck in a rut or dealing with a fear of taking chances, this year we not only have Uranus – the planet of change and unpredictability here, but eclipse season takes place now as well. We won’t really have time to sink into the comfy couch cushions of Taurus because things are going to be stirred up. The Sun moves into Taurus at 10:24 pm on April 19th and will remain there until skipping into Gemini on May 20th at 9:22 pm. Mercury is already in Taurus and will slip briefly into Gemini at the end of the month before going retrograde and revisiting the latter degrees of Taurus in May.
