Sun in Libra

At the Autumn Equinox in the northern hemisphere we embrace the idea of teamwork or at least working with someone else. As the Sun slips into Libra we realize we can accomplish more when we work with a partner. This isn’t a place the Sun is comfortable because it means we don’t always get our own way, compromise becomes important.

This concept of working in harmony with others isn’t just about relationships but applies to physical aesthetics as well. Libra is all about the beauty that comes from working well together. As a Venus ruled sign, Libra is concerned with finding the perfect balance with the people and things we value.

This is a good time to review contracts (Mercury is still retrograde until 10/2 so just take notes for future adjustments). Taking a loved one on a date to an art exhibit is a great use of this energy. This can be a time to become involved in civic action around justice reform.

Mercury will meet the Sun soon after he enters Libra which could bring something important out into the light. The Sun enters Libra on September 22 at 9:04 pm EDT, and meets Mercury early on September 23 at 2:50 am EDT. The Sun remains in the sign of the scales until October 23 when it dives into the depths of Scorpio.
