Happy New Year! This is the energetic and astrological start to the year as we are lucky enough to experience the Sun’s transition into Aries (at 5:24 pm on 3/20) less than a day before the Aries new moon (at 1:23 pm on 3/21).
Aries is the sign all about starting, pioneering, taking that leap of faith before you think it through. In the northern hemisphere it signals Springtime and new birth in the flora and fauna, longer days and shorter nights, and finally getting outdoors without layers of heavy clothing.
It isn’t often that the new moon is so close to the Sun’s ingress of a sign, especially a sign that signals a new start much like a new moon does. This is a good time to begin a project, to sow (metaphorical) seeds, and to make a fresh start.
Aries is a bold, courageous sign, sometimes a little impulsive or reckless. Try not to go too fast or act before thinking through the consequences. It’s a great time for sports and it’s not surprising that there are many championship tournaments this time of year. Use this energy to motivate you in areas you may have lacked confidence, it’s great for taking a chance.
