Tomorrow our one-on-one relationship energy changes up as Venus moves from her home sign of Libra into a sign where she can feel uncomfortable or sometimes like an outcast, Scorpio. Venus in Scorpio is intense, she wants the truth and will dig through the trash if necessary to find it. In Scorpio, Venus wants to test boundaries – what makes you squirm, when are you uncomfortable, what is taboo? She isn’t afraid to talk about sex, death, or debt and now is the time to address these topics in our relationships.
While in Scorpio, Venus is said to be in detriment, meaning she is in the house opposite her home sign of Taurus and thus feeling contrary. While here until October 7, Venus will do a deep dive, and if we work well with the energy, could help us unearth treasure. We can explore the off-limits topics we are hesitant to approach. We do need to be careful not to get too intense or look for conspiracy theories around every corner. Secrecy can be an issue, whether we are keeping secrets or think others might be. Renovation, remodeling, reuse, or reinventing are all good activities during this time, take something that may be considered trash or no longer of value and repurpose it, give it a second life. We may be drawn to dark works of art, gothic novels or places, the spooky season of Scorpio is now beginning.
As an interesting aside, Mars will move into his detriment sign of Libra on September 14th, which puts Mars and Venus in mutual reception – meaning they are in the sign ruled by each other: Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio and Venus is the ruler of Libra. This means they work together and feed off each other’s energy, yet both are uncomfortable in the sign they are in.
